Callington’s Remembrance Parade and Service will take place on Sunday 10th November. All welcome.
Everyone wishing to take part in the parade is requested to muster in the New Road South (B&M) car park ready to set off at 2.30pm
A rolling road management plan will be in place with marshals being used to control traffic flow as the parade progresses. Traffic will be temporarily halted by marshals at strategic points to allow for the parade to pass. Once the parade has safely cleared each section, traffic will be permitted to pass. The parade will follow the route below:
New Road South car park, right to the junction of the A388, left at the junction to the traffic lights, left at the traffic lights onto Fore Street following the road down to the War Memorial at the top of Church Street.
The Wreath Laying Ceremony will take place at the War Memorial prior to the start of the Church service at 3.00pm in St Mary’s Church. Access to Fore Street from Liskeard Road and Church Street will be restricted whilst the Wreath Laying Ceremony takes place, usually 15-20 minutes.
