Update on new parking charges.
Cornwall Council have advised that the machines will be amended either late Sunday evening or early Monday Morning to reflect the retun of the first hour free charges. In addition the new covers for the boards will be installed at the same time.
With any change to the technology there may be teething problems but they hope it will all work stright away. If there are any tech issues the Council are urging car park users to be patient but hopefully it will go without a hitch.
Once again massive thanks to Cornwall Council and the Co-operative for their willingness to come back to the table and agree a new scheme, and also to Manager, Regional Manager and staff of B&M in Callington who have worked, often behind the scenes, to bring the Co-op back on board and halp facilitate this new agreement.
In the coming weeks we will be organising a meeting of all traders in the town to see how we can build on this to provide more encouragement to local people to shop in the town.
