Funding for Businesses in Callington

February 15th 2022

Community Led Local Development (CLLD) has relaunched their Enterprise Small Grants (ESG’s) in target areas of Callington.

ESG’s allow eligible local businesses to access grants of up to £10,000 to enable them to grow and offer more employment opportunities in the town.

These grants can be used to invest in specialist business advice, marketing, and branding support and can also help businesses to: fund the creation of new websites; boost E-commerce capabilities; and purchase a range of equipment.

CLLD has recently helped Duchy Defibrillators, based in Roche, to invest in equipment enabling them to become more productive. Using their ESG they were able to refurbish their storage facilities with new racking, so that they could increase production. They were also able to purchase showroom and reception furniture, alongside new laptops and audio-visual equipment, which helped to enhance their customer experience and boost sales.

Please note that certain types of businesses (such as retail and hospitality) are unfortunately ineligible. There is also a geographic focus on particular postcodes within the town, so we highly recommend that you email Ffion Stanton to discuss these opportunities and ascertain eligibility.
